Thometz is committed to developing strong interpersonal relationships with his patients by combining evidence-based medicine with patient goals to create effective treatment plans. Thometz has participated in gait analysis research that has been published in the International Journal of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation.ĭr. Thometz received training under some of Chicago’s top foot and ankle surgeons including peripheral nerve specialists, orthopedic trauma surgeons, and fellowship-trained podiatrists. His residency concentrated on forefoot, reconstructive rearfoot, and ankle surgery along with limb salvage and wound care. He then completed his 3-year podiatric residency at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Following this, he obtained his doctorate at Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. Thometz received his undergraduate degree from Marquette University in his hometown of Milwaukee.
